Spectra Entertainment is a diversity-conscious women's LGBTQ event planning group.
We are QWOC+ Boston's resident event planning company and donate 30% of our profit towards community outreach, a variety of social events, and general administration of the organization.
As a socially conscious group, Spectra Entertainment is very excited to work with other queer, race-, ethnic- and gender-inclusive organizations (such as madFemmepride, Somos Latinos, QAPA, Masala, Keshet, and SoJust) with fundraising or event-planning needs.
Like our parent organization, we believe that integrating social spaces will spawn the personal relationships that are the key to connecting people from "other" sides of many issues, and subsequently, create a more tolerant society. As such, we are committed to maintaining more than just the 'wording' of inclusiveness in our promotions and PR; we plan put on LGBTQ events that cater to as many different kinds of queer women (including transwomen) as possible.
Spectra Entertainment is made up of a group of individuals who have been active in the queer women's community for several years, and as such have been responsible for quite a number of trans-, bi- and femme-friendly events in Boston.
..
